# Smart Contracts & Token Standards

Tokens representing T-Blocks instruments are issued using smart contract standards appropriate for regulated financial instruments.

**Token standard.** T-Blocks instruments are tokenized using standards that support transfer restrictions, compliance enforcement, and identity verification at the token level. This ensures that tokens can only be held or transferred by verified, compliant investors.

**Compliance enforcement.** Transfer restriction logic is embedded in the token smart contract. Before any transfer is executed, the smart contract verifies that both sender and recipient have completed KYC/AML verification and meet investor eligibility requirements. Transfers that fail compliance checks are rejected at the protocol level.

**Issuance and redemption.** Token minting (issuance) and burning (redemption) are controlled by the Management Company or its appointed agent. Tokens cannot be created or destroyed without authorisation from the Management Company.

**Auditability.** All token transactions are recorded on an immutable ledger. This provides a transparent, auditable record of all issuances, transfers, and redemptions — complementing the Management Company's internal records and the auditor's annual verification.
